BELPHEGOR, have uploaded the video clip for the track
“DER GEISTERTREIBER”
at
this location. The video was shot in Abtenau, Austria
with director
Walter Fanninger. Lead growler and shredder Helmuth stated:
“The song is about the celebration on the
30th of April, better known as the Walpurgis Nacht,
the occult celebrations on the mountain. It’s
the first time that we hired a professional camera team
for a BELPHEGOR video, so the result is beyond amazing.
We rented a cottage three days high in the mountains
in middle of nowhere in the woods. There was nothing
around. Just a lot of excess, alcohol, substances etc.
Was a great intense time!” |

The song was taken from the bands upcoming album "WALPURGIS
RITES - HEXENWAHN" to be released via
Nuclear Blast Records on October 9th (Europe) and 20th (N.
America).

| CHAPTER VIII: "WALPURGIS
RITES - HEXENWAHN" ALBUM COMPLETED! |
BELPHEGOR have
set "WALPURGIS RITES - HEXENWAHN" as the title of
the band’s eighth album. The troup has just finished
the fifth recording session, mixdown and mastering process
with producer Andy Classen in stage one studios, Kassel/ Germany
- check some
studio pictures!
Here´s a comment from Helmuth: "With these
nine compositions/ arrangements we continue to piss on the
damn mainstream. Its BELPHEGOR to the highest, the hymns are
extremely varied, more intense and epic than ever, there are
new elements and structures added.
Also, we used some haunting samples here and there, to give
the album a cold and ritualistic feel.
On "WALPURGIS RITES - HEXENWAHN" u will hear my
most fukked up vocals to date, also the lyrical content is
offensive and insane. The witch/ devil concept is amazing
to work with and we used alot of original chants/ incantations
from archaic scripts..."
The Werk will be released in middle of October 2009,
worldwide through Nuclear Blast records. |

in October 2009. "WALPURGIS RITES - HEXENWAHN" marks
the follow up to the groups extremely successful 2008 release
"BONDAGE GOAT ZOMBIE".
Here’s what frontman Helmuth has to say: "The
title fits perfect to the whole concept, the lyrical themes.
Its typical BELPHEGOR, involving symbology and double meanings.
I have always been fascinated by the idea and atmosphere surrounding
witches, their magic, the insane sabbath/ ceremonies - and
all the obscurity that goes with it.
With the nine sound collages, the verses, artwork we continue
our descent into the depths of musical hell."

"Alright...what
a strong tour, each day packed and crowded venues, alot
of die hard demons with passion and fire for Metal attend
these shows. Besides that, it's an honour for BELPHEGOR
to share stages with Thrash legends EXODUS and KREATOR.
We headed back to Canada a couple of days ago and have
played about 14 shows so far. 23 convents are left on
this run.
So be warned friends, better show up early, some start
around 7pm, get your Fleisch in the venues to celebrate
total Krieg with us.

| RECORDING UPDATE FROM THE STAGE
ONE STUDIOS PT.II |

Demons are
you ready for the next chapter? After two weeks of being
in the studio, working very intensely, here is another
update.
Helmuth states about the progress: "Hi all, just
returned from the 2nd studio session, completed all rhythm
guitars and Serpenth laid down the bass lines.
The nine sound collages started to show their grim face
and i can say we´re pretty damn pleased, totally
blown away by the evil atmosphere.
All sound more epic than ever, with lots of cold, haunting
melodies, we also added a lot of new elements/ structures
to our sound." |

TOTENKULT! |
As opposed to previous tales
of the inquisition, this focuses upon the darker, more dismal
of the mighty, powerful witches who conjure and worship demons.
Those who have a pact with the forces of hell through the occult.
The concept deals with demonology, witchcraft/ Hexenwahn, depraved
suKKubi, blackest erotica, and as always, the grand devil, himself.
"Well, these days we rehearse for the Scandinavian
tour till Thursday, then we fly over to Estonia/ Tallinn where
the Einmarsch kicks off. There are a lot shows in countries
where we never had the chance to shred, we are looking
forward to this tour, see ya soon,"....added Serpenth.

Andy Classen's STAGE ONE studios three days ago.
With Andy at the controls we expect again an absolute
massive production.
As you're reading this, Mr. Nefastus is already recording
the drums.
The studio-process will reach out till middle of June
2009 with four sessions,
so everything can grow and we can get the best result.
Between the sessions BELPHEGOR return on the road and
shred Scandinavia, Usa and Canada.

Brachial metal outfit BELPHEGOR
are in the final stages of the writing process for their upcoming,
as of yet untitled album, the follow up to 2008's "BONDAGE
GOAT ZOMBIE".

"Yeah,
brothers and sisters, currently we're working on nine
sound collages.
We started directly in April 2008 after the "BONDAGE
GOAT ZOMBIE" release,
to create the new compositions/ arrangements for the
eight Werk, 6sikk6 songs basically completely finished.
Words can't really describe how enthusiastic and motivated
we are, to get into the studio and record this monster,
it feels great to be creative again.
Mr. Nefastus will be responsible for the drums on that
album, he also blasted
on "PESTAPOKALYPSE VI" .
He is an old friend to the BELPHEGOR family. We rehearse
day and night since December to make it as tight and
monumental as possible, stay tuned demons...
hell awaits!!!"
