Savage belligerence from
Austrian purveyors of hate.
While the mental image of a Bondage Goat Zombie is more comical than
frightening. Belphegor are clearly not here to piss around.
On their seventh studio album, the band have gotten their blackened
Death Metal sound down and drive every track home with unrestrained
hostility and some pretty fucking massive riffs.
There is a coldness and hardness to the music that suits the sheer
violence of their attack.
The title-track kicking things off with all the subtlety of a landmine
enema and for the most part they remain at the same supercharged level,
although they do weave some winningly nasty melodies through the tumult.
