Belphegor's 4th release sees these Austrian blasphemers approaching the highest kingdoms of the death metal genre. After one spin through "Lucifer Incestus," I have instantly fallen in love with this hyper-brutality that may seemingly rival no other. Marvelous production accompanies helicopter kick drums, warping guitar/bass licks and absolutely insane screams from the blackest labyrinths of Hell! There are some who follow the pack, while others (Belphegor) stand alone atop the highest mountains of magnificence. Maybe appraisal isn't an option, perhaps it is necessary....
