Pestapokalypse VI is the perfect marriage of death and black metal, and Belphegor are one of the few bands that actually pull this off well. One moment the listener is bludgeoned with Malevolent Creation-esque riffs and pinch harmonics, then from the right comes the maniacal tremelo riffing of a black metal assault. There is indeed something sinister in the waters of Austria, and it has leaked into Pestapokalypse VI.
