BELPHEGOR
"GOATREICH FLESHCULT"
NAPALM/TUBA

The Austrian kings of extreme metal are back with more original brew. Many of you will remember their massive gig at Inferno a few years back, a gig that won the band quite a few new fans here in Norway. "Goatreich - Fleshcult" is possibly their most versatile work to date. The opening is ferocious, with "The Crucifixus Anus Dei", a quite brutal song, but pay attention to the tiny details and the compositorical twists and turns - very often when it comes to rhythm - this is what make Belphegor stand out from the crowd. The coolest track of the album has to be "Sepulture of Hypocrisy", which is incredibly heavy. The songs are embraced in a great production, so if you`re out to buy a new stereo for your flat, bring this album to make sure you`re buying something reliable! If the bass speakers give you a solid response with this album, you can rest assured it`s a good buy. Here and there, a few rather uninteresting parts are to be discovered, especially when it comes to a few riffs here and there. But hey - some bands have the certain x factor, some don`t. Belphegor are truly a case of the first.
