| Austria’s Belphegor
have return after their triumphant Pestapokalypse VI album with the
equally as dark and dastardly in Bondage Goat Zombie. At the helm
for the new record is Andy Classen who brought his malevolent ear
to this recording. Belphegor are one of the premiere death/black metal
bands, but can you believe that they didn’t tour America until
2006? That’s simply unacceptable. Bondage Goat Zombie continues
the method of brutality that has carried the band for the last 13
years. Anything that is Belphegor could be the soundtrack to your
decent into the depths of hell. Helmuth is what I’ve imagined
Satan would sound like, greeting you at the gates of hell upon your
arrival. The standout tracks on Bondage Goat Zombie are “Stigma
Diabolicum,” which features a battering, devilish, symphonic
death metal blast that will send you running for cover, and “Armageddon’s
Raid,” which is a prime slab of evil. Now let's talk about that
album title...
