BELPHEGOR - REVEAL COVER ARTWORK
Supreme Death/ Black Metallers BELPHEGOR are proud to reveal the cover artwork for their upcoming album
"BLOOD MAGICK NECROMANCE".

The band has tapped two ingenious artists from Austria for artwork purposes. Helmut Wolech [a fetish photographer and former mortician] and Joachim Luetke for the magickal graphics and cover artwork.

Expect mp3 samples, studio/ video trailers, worldwide tour campaign dates within the next few weeks!

BELPHEGOR - REVEAL ALBUM TITLE

BELPHEGOR have wrapped up the work on their new black/ death metal masterpiece! And they also revealed the album title: "BLOOD MAGICK NECROMANCE"! Produced by legend Peter Tägtgren at his Abyss Studios in Pärlby, Sweden and mastered by Jonas Kjellgren. The album will be released on January 14th in Europe and February 8th in North America via Nuclear Blast records.
"This will be the most epic and monumental BELPHEGOR Werk to date", commented Helmuth.

BELPHEGOR CONTINUE RECORDING NEW ALBUM
During their stay in Pärbly/ Sweden, BELPHEGOR shot some studio photos which can be seen here.
The 3rd out of four recording sessions will take place from August 21-28, adding the next dimension to their massive soundwall. BELPHEGOR's ninth opus is being produced and mastered by Peter Tägtgren.

Helmuth states about the progress: "Just returned from an impressive Romanian raid, incl visiting Dracula ´s castle in Bran, alot good memories and an amazing open air. The Romanian metal crowd greeted us with an amazing presence again. Anyways, the second Abyss trip is behind us, traveling one way took us 13 hours! Fukk, but it all was worth it.

Blown away with the result, and Peter Tägtgren is an Alien on the controls. In these early stages I already can say, "hell-goat-fukking-yeah"!!!
I finished the four rhythm guitars in six days and was more than well prepared. I practiced my ass off in the last months - but needed longer than expected. This time we decided for drop C, 443 htz.
Also Marthyn did an outstanding job on the drums, more double bass parts than ever before!
Besides all of that - the sound is "huge", not to forget the most important force on my side, Mr. Serpenth, brought again stellar arrangements and did the best sounding bass lines yet. This will be the most epic and monumental BELPHEGOR Werk to date."
 
RELEASE DATE - JANUARY 2011 VIA NUCLEAR BLAST RECORDS
The highly anticipated album is scheduled for a worldwide release date in January 2011 via Nuclear Blast Records/ Warner. Keep an eye on out for a "studio trailer" as well as lyrical and artistic concepts in the next update.

BELPHEGOR NOMINATED FOR THE AUSTRIAN AMADEUS AWARD 2010
Death/ Black Metal icons BELPHEGOR are one of the nominated bands, in category hard & heavy for this years edition of the National Music Awards. You can cast your ballot once per week through August 31st. The "Amadeus Awards Ceremony" will take place in the Wiener Stadthalle on September 16 in Vienna, Austria.

Here’s what frontman Helmuth has to say: "Alright. BELPHEGOR entered the media control charts a few times. Now we are nominated for that mainstream thing, called Amadeus Award...The paradox of BELPHEGOR being represented in a National Music Awards ceremony is one which cements our ART as a real foundation of extreme culture
throughout the world.
Our mission has always been about Extreme Metal. The way of life. The Anti-Christian sentiment! Our passion has left a mark on the world and will continue to cut even deeper on the next album. It is no surprise after touring extensively worldwide that even more people have noticed our true dedication to musick. TEN INTENSE SESSIONS IN 44 REHEARSAL DAYS!

Yesterday BELPHEGOR ended the last rehearsing for the upcoming studio album.
Serpenth comments: "Its BELPHEGOR to the bone, nine monumental - epic arrangements. The sound collages have a haunting - ritualistic atmosphere. Werk IX will be the longest playing BELPHEGOR album yet."

"Sunday we returned form the awesome Metal Gate Open Air we shredded in Czech, and went direct back in the rehearsal bunker. Fukking wicked!!! The last rehearsals turned out fantastic. We practiced day and night to get every level to the highest peak"....stated Helmuth.
 
MUSICK, MAGICK AND CHAOS. BELPHEGOR TO START RECORDING

On Friday bass player Serpenth and session drummer Marthyn fly over to Sweden and hit the Abyss studios to start the drum recordings on Sunday. Peter Tägtgren [Abyss Studios Sweden/ Ludvika] will be at the helm as producer, the five recording sessions and mixing/ mastering process should be complete by beginning of October.
The yet untitled album's release date will be sometime in early 2011.

BELPHEGOR will let you in on the progress being made and give you an insight into the recording processes, reports will be posted on this site on a regular basis.

BELPHEGOR TO ENTER THE ABYSS STUDIOS IN SWEDEN ON JUNE 19.
Death/ Black Metal titans BELPHEGOR will enter The Abyss Studios in Pärbly, Sweden on June 19, to start recording the drums. The band has tapped Peter Tägtgren [IMMORTAL, CELTIC FROST, HYPOCRISY,...] to produce their new, as of yet untitled album.

BELPHEGOR´s main man Helmuth said: "A new challenge. We re high on fire and totally motivated. I´m stoked to work together with a dude that needs no instruction, an excellent musician/ producer. I´m sure that Peter will create a massive soundwall for our ninth longplayer. We are absolutely focused on the new album. That's the only reason why we play only a few open airs this summer.
The masterplan is to record again in 4 - 5 sessions til beginning of October. Once again letting the tracks slowly take form, with the songwriting and production reaching a new level of intensity."

Commented Peter Tägtgren: "I am really looking forward to producing/ mixing the new BELPHEGOR album.
It's going to be a blast,....u better be prepared."

Bass shredder Serpenth adds: "On Friday we will start the fifth rehearsal session - day 24 - for the upcoming album, which lasts til Tuesday. We will fine tune eight compositions out of nine. It's going to be an epic - brachial BELPHEGOR album, more shredding, more magick, more of everything."
